Through the years it has become so easy to get insanely stressed out during the Christmas season, so many of us without realizing can place many unrealistic expectations on ourselves and others. All the while forgetting about the true meaning of it all; family, friends, fellowship, peace and goodwill to others. Need I say more?
Maybe it is because I am getting older, but now it seems that right around the time Halloween wraps up if you walk into a big box store you will see all the Christmas stuff coming out, while I do enjoy the Holidays, when the hell did it all become so commercialized?
Is it just me?
Fortunately though, I had the pleasure of spending the day with some dear friends from work and I even got to dress up as Santa Claus (something I love to do just to see the kids eyes light up. Maybe it might just be the fact that as I mature I tend to appreciate the little things and the simpler things a whole lot more. Main thing to me though is where the kids are concerned I like to do what I can to make it a nice day for all of them because that is what really matters in the end.
